Alvin silver overlay decanter, USA. Circa 1890.
Features attractive .999 fine silver Art Nouveau floral decor with chased grapes and leaves. Includes original stopper. Marked
"999 FINE"
with early company logo and patent number to underside. The middle of the neck shows a few cracks that extend down from the base of the handle; decanter does not leak liquid and is fully functional. Minor chip on stopper (please see photos).
Otherwise in very good condition with no losses to silver. Measures approximately 11.25" in height.
