ANTIQUE Art Nouveau Mark Sterling Silver Overlay DECANTER Wine Bottle Thistle

Description

For sale is an Antique Art Nouveau style clear glass whisky decanter/wine bottle with beautiful silver overlay decoration in classical thistle pattern, circa 1890-1910. Excellent condition! It is marked “sterling” near the base of the bottle. Hard to make out in the photo, but it is there. There is also an owner’s monogram, possibly “HMA”
The decanter measures approximately 10.5” tall and about 3.5” in diameter at the base. There are no damages of any kind that I can identify. No chips, no cracks. Clean lip and base. Glass is very clean, no fog or discoloration. Age appropriate wears, surface abrasions, and manufacturer imperfections are to be expected. Please check photos from all directions for detailed condition.
Overall, a wonderful antique high end glass decanter. Great for display or to be put to practical use.
