    Description

    Welcome to
    Antiques & Moore!
This listing is for a nice antique French 3-piece crystal dresser jar set with gorgeous guilloche enamel tops, c. 1900.
The crystal body of each jar has a vertical ribbed design with the two bottles being oval in shape and the shorter jar has a round shape. One bottle has a lid that slides upward to remove, the other has a screw-on lid with glass perfume stopper inside and the shorter jar also has a screw-on lid. The perfume bottle has a cork lining in the lid to help avoid leaks and the short jar also has a cork-type liner. The lids fit tightly and the glass stopper inside the perfume bottle is in excellent condition and is original to the bottle.
    Set includes:
    (1) Tall, slender jar with oval lid measuring 3" high, 2 3/8" wide and 1 3/8" deep.
    (2) Medium jar with oval body and tall slender lid measuring 3 1/4" high, 2 1/4" wide with a 1 1/8" diameter top.
    (3) Small round jar measuring 1 5/8" high and 2" in diameter.
Combined weight of three pieces is 10.5 ounces.
Each of these attractive jars have lids that are hallmarked silver with the French Minerva stamp for .925 Sterling Silver. The two taller jars have an unidentified maker's stamp with initials "J. P." and the smaller jar has maker's initials "J. S." although the design and the tops of each jar is a excellent match.
The glass is in very good Estate condition with two jars being free of any flaws  although on the perfume bottle there is a chip on the base of one of the ribs. The chip does not show on the outside of the bottle as it is on the bottom (see photos). There may be some very faint signs of normal wear, however, we found no other flaws or problems with this set.
The lid is also in very good condition although there is one faint loss of glaze over the enamel in one area just under the top rim (see photos). Overall, this beautiful lid is in very nice condition considering handling and wear from normal use.
