FRENCH STERLING DECANTER
Grand and glorious, this large French silver and crystal decanter stands a generous 12 ¼ inches high. The silver collar and lid are decorated in Rocco and floral motifs. A large shell shaped thumb rest adds more detail to the lid. The fine crystal, though unsigned is most likely Baccarat. Flowing etched designs on the body are combined with more floral motifs; the design continues up the handle as well.
French Circa, 1895. French sterling silver as denoted by the Minerve 1st. Titre mark and the maker's punch is for Auguste Claire, 1895.
Condition Report; very good, minor surface scratches and a very small ding on the base.
This decanter will require a signature at delivery for insurance purposes.
