French silver & vermeil wine or decanter label. The label has engraved decoration around the edges and is engraved with “Porto”.
Crafted by the renown Puiforcat in silver with a gold or vermeil wash. Perfect touch for a decanter filled with Port.
C 1900, marked with the small item “crab mark” for .800 French silver and with the maker’s punch of Puiforcat.
Measurements; Label 1 ¾” wide by 1” deep. Chain is 3 ¾” long.
Condition Report; Very good, micro scratches in accordance with age and use. The reverse side has a bit more, most like from where the label moved against a glass decanter
