Antique Vanity Rouge Jar with Sterling Silver Top
Measures approx. 1.4" tall and 1.5" across the lid.
Silver top is fully hallmarked. There are four marks....the lion which stands for solid silver, the encircled W, "Sterling" and the #3572, a triangle which is the date mark for the year of 1913, next to the triangle is the #105 ..I do not know the meaning of this number.
The lid is octagonal shaped, has a light gold wash inside, and an engraved delicate floral design plus a beautifully engraved "AHS" monogram. There are no dents in the lid...lid fits perfectly on the jar....snug fit.
Lid weighs 9.87g
The jar has 12 panels with dots in between.
Jar has one cloudy spot along the rim with a small chip/fleabites and there are two small red scratches on one of the panels....see last pictures.
