Up for bid is a vintage English sterling silver small liquor flask. The piece is 5 inches long, 2 7/8 inches wide and about 7/8 inch thick. It weighs 125 grams. It is gently curved and has a hammered surface. It has a cork-lined lid with a bayonet style closure over an angled spout as shown. It is monogrammed “ECH” in fancy script on the front. The piece is marked with a maker’s mark of [WC / JL] with London hallmarks for 1899-1900 on the front, with partial hallmarks on the neck and back as well. It is also marked with a “3” and “GOLDSMITHS’ COMPY / 112 REGENT ST.W.” on the footCondition on the flask is fair. There is a partially pushed-out dent on the front edge, as well as a couple of other smaller dents and normal wear from use. The cork is in decent shape, if a bit cracked. A fun old flask!
