Here is a large antique Gentlemens flask in sterling silver and alligator skin on glass. It has hallmarks for Birmingham England Sterling 1919 and a shield with initials of the English silversmith J (?) Y & S. There is a monogram DS & CB on the sterling hinged cover and on the gold gilt cup. See all photos. It is in overall good, used condition. Minor surface scratches. There is a small dent on the lower edge of the silver cup and the silver finish on the cup is dull and uneven. It could use some professional buffing. This antique flask was rather dirty and tarnished black when found in an estate sale. It cleaned up looking much better but the shine could be improved with a professional polish. This large flask is 7 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. It holds approximately 12 ounces, the gold gilt cup holds approximately 8 ounces. There is an indicator level in the alligator half of the flask to see contents. See all photos.
