    Description

    Offering a very rare antique sterling silver flask by Gorham. Created, 1888.
    This lovely very early version of this flask features a heavy though intricate basket weave pattern over a thick hand blown glass flask. The silver workmanship extends over the entire body of the piece and is topped by a swirl shaped Art Nouveau style lid. The lid twists to open/close and it retains it’s original cork. Signed, Gorham, Sterling, 165, star mark, 1888. Making this flask 134 years old.
    Measuring 5 1/2” Tall, 2 1/2” Wide and Weighing a hefty 255.6 grams or 9.01 oz.
    The condition is mint. I could find no damage. The patina is absolutely gorgeous.
