    Description

    This is a fine vintage sterling silver double bar measure  or “jigger”. The jigger has two measures, 1 ounce and 1/2 ounce. It stands 3 1/4 inches high and 1 7/8 inches in diameter at the ounce measure. it weighs 63.5 grams. It is marked “Sterling TWR”. It was made by the Wolfenden Silver Company before they went out of business in 1955. Wolfenden claimed a special finish on their silver, making it “Tarnish and Wear Resistant”. It still has the original finish, which as turned cloudy with age. It can be easily removed with nail polish remover or acetone. I’ll do that if the buyer would prefer. Otherwise, the jigger is in fine vintage condition.
